We’ll leave the MAB14 venue for a while and venture on a journey through the century to experience Aarhus through a variety of physical and digital spaces.

Experience the Danish National Exhibition that took place in Aarhus in 1909 and showcased the most outstanding architecture. The Tuborg arch of triumph and the model for Danish train stations – which was later implemented all over Denmark – were some of the projects featured at the exhibition. We’ll visit Tangkrogen, the venue of the National Exhibition, and will travel back in time using 3D technology.

Later we’ll go to The Old Town (Den Gamle By). It’s one of the tangible results of the National Exhibition – and a chance to see, smell, touch and visit some of the buildings, we’ve experienced using 3D technology earlier on the tour, e.g. The Mayor’s House.

The Old Town is also the world’s first open air museum and Denmark’s only three-star museum (“worth the journey in itself”) outside Copenhagen area according to Guide Michelin.

We’ll finish the tour with the newest media architecture on the roof of internationally acclaimed art museum ARoS, where Olafur Eliasson’s Your Rainbow Panaroma is waiting.

The tour starts at 09:00 and ends at 12:30. Meeting place is Godsbanen, entrance 3H. Be there at 08:50.
